Barcelona Tourism has recently published the 2014 statistics related to tourism. Tourists, after being questioned about different city attractions, recognize architecture as the most valued aspect of the city, and rate it with 8.8/10, above other important aspects such as the city's cultural activities, leisure or entertainment. However, this situation is not new, given that since 2007 Barcelona's architectural offer is the most valued aspect for our visitors.

Among the most visited places of architectural interest during 2014, we find the Sagrada Familia in the first place, with 3,260,880 visitors, followed by Park Guell, with 2,598,732 visitors. Other highlights include La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, Montjuïc Castle, the MUHBA heritage spaces, Hospital de Sant Pau, Palau Guell, Palau de la Musica Catalana and the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.

According to statistics from Barcelona Tourism11,092,473 tourists have visited sites of architectural interest in 2014.

All the data come from the document 'Estadístiques de Turisme a Barcelona i comarques. Síntesi 2014', published by Barcelona Tourism, Barcelona City Council and Diputacio de Barcelona. This publication collects the main statistics on tourist activity in the city and its surroundings.
